​Our TDLR-approved Nail Technician Program in Stone Oak, San Antonio is a flexible, credit-based program where 600 hours are structured into 16 credits for efficient progress tracking and completion. At Brazen Beauty Academy, students receive comprehensive, state-compliant training designed to prepare for the Texas licensing exam, including hands-on experience in manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, sanitation, and client care. Fully aligned with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation standards, making it easy for students to complete their training while gaining real-world skills for a successful career in the beauty industry.

About Our Après Partnership

We’ve partnered with Après University, the educational branch of Après Nail, the brand behind Gel-X and other cutting-edge nail systems. This exclusive collaboration allows our students to meet state licensing requirements while mastering modern nail techniques.

Après certification gives our graduates a competitive edge—clients recognize the name, and salons value the training.

This program is TDLR-approved by the State of Texas.

Program Options

Advanced Nail Program (for experienced techs needing a license)

• Duration: 13 weeks (part time 1 day per week)

• Schedule: Tuesdays & 2+ Saturdays per month for model work

• Class Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Cost: $6,000

• Includes:

  • Official Après Certification

  • Après Kit only (no additional supplies included)

• For: Students who already do nails professionally but need to get licensed ** this is a

very fast paced program designed ONLY for advanced students.

• ​Refine your skills and ensure your nail techniques are performed with precision,

consistency, and proper professional standards.

• Gel-X application

  TDLR Rules and regulations 

• PSI Written and Practical exam preparation

Beginner Nail Program (start from scratch)

• Duration: 13 weeks (Full time 2-3 days per week)

• Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & 2+ Saturdays per month for model work

• Class Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Cost: $9,000

• Includes:

  • Official Après Certification

  • Comprehensive Après Kit with beginner-friendly tools and materials

• For: New students entering the nail industry

• Nail technology foundations: general anatomy and physiology, skin and nail diseases ​and disorders, nail product chemistry 

• Nail services: manicuring and pedicuring, electric filing, acrylic application, gel nail enhancements and nail art

• Gel-X application

• TDLR Rules and regulations 

• PSI Written and Practical exam preparation
